LAHORE: The Old
Ravians Union’s executive committee ha
s passed a unanimous resolution requesting the Government College University Lahore vice chancellor not to accept the resignation tendered by Prof Dr Khalid Manzoor from the position of th
e union’s secretary.
The resolution states that all members of the
ORU executive committee laud services of Prof Khalid Butt, and are in favour of his continued association with th
e union. The resolution wa
s passed at a meeting of th
e union’s executive committee chaired by ORU President Qazi Afaq Hossain at the Government College University Lahore.
The executive committee requested the vice-chancellor not to accept the resignation in the interest of the university and Old
Ravians Union.
Sources said that GCU Vice Chancellor Prof D
r Hassan Amir Shah had already not accepted the resignation of Prof Butt, and asked him to continue as services for the Old
Ravian Union.
Prof Butt refused to comment, saying that he would abide by the vice chancellor’s directives.
