LAHORE: The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) held the inauguration of nine newly constructed
bus sheds built to facilitate commuters residing in areas near Bedian Road. The ceremony was held at Lidhar
bus stop on Thursday.
The
bus sheds have been constructed in the constituency of NA-129 on the demand of the public. The
bus sheds are on the 18-km long Bedian Road while LTC previously constructed six
bus sheds at Hadiara Drain Road.

ister of Punjab, Talha Burki and Rana Mubashar Iqbal from NA 129 were present. Officials from LTC, Acting CEO Mariam Khaw
ar, CTO Badiur Rehman, COO Zafar Qureshi, Operations DGM Atif Memon, E&I DGM Abdul Qayyum were also present.
Burki said, “As true representatives of the people, we are carrying the mission of Punjab CM and these new
bus sheds will facilitate people who face difficulties while waiting for pub
lic transport without shelters.”
He added that LTC was taking tangible steps in transforming the pub
lic transport culture in the provincial metropolis.
Iqbal said that the recent measures taken by LTC were alleviating the problems faced by commuters, adding that LTC’s efforts to provide infrastructure for transport facilities at the outskirts of Lahore was commendable.
The LTC management said the
bus sheds would also be constructed across the city. In
this regard, a comprehensive survey was being carried in Lahore to point out the areas where
bus sheds should be constructed immediately, they added.
