ISLAMABAD: Addressing the press, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaharyar Khan reprimanded India for politicising the game of cricket.
An MoU (Memoran
dum of Understanding) signed by PCB with Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) consisted of six
bilateral series to be played between 2015 and 2023; among which four were to be hosted by Pakistan and the six tours pending a legal agreement will include up to 14 Tests, 30 ODIs and 12 Twenty20s.
The first in the series was scheduled to happen in the UAE last year but was held up since the Indian Government didn’t allow the BCCI to proceed with the series.
The PCB since, has demanded financial compensation from BCCI and ICC for the losses incurred due to India’s decision to opt out of the
bilateral series.
